5. Pray, Write, and Make Friends
Sometimes an ill loved one can use you as their sounding board and occasionally their whipping boy/girl. It’s difficult not take it personal when anyone is under verbal and emotional attack. Realize that consistent pain and loss of independency, however, will make anyone less than pleasant. To keep yourself spiritually and emotionally grounded, Pray! You should also keep a journal of your thoughts, ideas and goals.
Connect with people who are going through similar experiences on twitter or through cancer caregiver forums. Please know there are millions that have gone through, are going through or will go through what you are going through. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
