Ease up on the sugar
Ok, so while I admittedly have a sweet tooth, it tends to wreak havoc on my energy levels. I especially notice that when I drink alcohol (sugar central), that I end up with the morning-after crash. Not so much a hangover, but that yucky sluggish feeling. No bueno.
The most important thing I’ve found is that eating whole, plant-based meals is the best way to sustain myself. That way, I’m faster, stronger and more apt to run farther. Trust me — your body will thank you.
