When it comes to weight training one of the top body parts to focus on is of course the arms. Getting this area of your body lean and toned is probably second to abs on most people’s lists because it is an area of the body seen ‘naked’ most often.

One of my favorite arm workouts are triceps extensions, this move targets the triceps, the muscles on the back of your upper arm. There are many variations to this exercise to keep you from getting bored, but today, we’ll focus on the standing triceps extension.

A common mistake most people make when doing extensions is that they arch their backs. A quick fix to this is to tuck your tailbone underneath you, engage the core and press straight overhead keeping your shoulders down and your elbows as close to your ears as possible.

Follow that simple technique and your arms will be lean and mean in no time!
