Akasha Restaurant, Los Angeles

Self-trained artisan-style baker and chef Ashaka Richmond opened the doors to her restaurant in Culver City, California in 2008 after spending years whipping up flavorful meals for Michael Jackson and honing her skills in Los Angeles’ best vegetarian restaurants.

The Akasha Restaurant was built with the principles of sustainability in mind restoring the original steel, wood, concrete and brick arches that invite a warm atmosphere and a modern touch.

The menu centers around New American dishes that are created with farm fresh and organic ingredients free from colors, artificial preservatives and no hydrogenated fats.

You’ll find the selection of pastries equally as clean and sustainable with many of them free from dairy and vegan-friendly.
