Don’t Catch Cold
Getting a cold doesn’t just make you feel too “blah” to work out – it can actually increase your chances of weight gain by modifying your fat cells. Studies have reported that the common cold can increase the number of glucose receptors on your fat cells making them bigger and more plentiful. (2) Take steps to avoid catching a cold by washing your hands regularly, eating well, getting plenty of sleep and avoiding contact with those who are sick.
