Mammograms
According to the National Cancer Institute, women 40 years and up should get a mammogram every 1 to 2 years. Women with a family history of breast cancer; however, are recommended to begin testing a little earlier than 40 and sometimes more frequently. During your next gynecologists visit, if either of these instances are applicable to you try discussing your options with your physician. He or she will let you know if you should start having this yearly exam done and can refer you to a few radiologists.
