They say wine gets better with age, and apparently so do hot bodies like actress Gabrielle Union’s. This soon to be 40-year old is proving to women everywhere that everything doesn’t head south after 30 with her toned arms, amazing legs and rocking beach ready body. If you’re looking for a reason to keep your body right this summer, look no further.

Here are some of Gabrielle’s fitness tips:

Keep It Balanced

Our girl Gabby is serious about her health, no crash diets here. The former high school basketball and soccer star doesn’t go crazy in the gym, but she does try to eat a balanced diet, and eat treats in moderation.

Work it Out

Gabrielle has mentioned in the past that working out leaves her feeling more confident and energized. For her sultry role in Bad Boys II she trained at the gym for two hours a day, five days a week doing an hour of Pilates and an hour of cardio. According to Gabrielle:

“Once I saw the wardrobe, (for Bad Boys II) I had to put the Krispy Kreme down and kind of get real with myself. I was in the gym two hours a day, five days a week. An hour of Pilates and an hour of cardio because I can’t stop eating.”

Make Working Out Fun

Working out at the gym is great, but surrounding herself with dumbbells isn’t the only way Ms. Union keeps her hot bod in shape. You can always catch Gabrielle doing something fun like roller skating for a good cause or playing basketball with her NBA boyfriend Dwayne Wade’s sons. Making fitness fun is a great way to keep your workout fresh and avoid getting bored.
