3 No-Nos at the Gym

When you head to the gym, you want to make sure you’re getting the most out of your workout. So here are three No-Nos to remember!

1. Doing the Same Workout Repeatedly – If you find yourself getting bored at the gym, then it may be time to switch up your workout routine. Keeping the same system will not only bore you, it will keep your body from not getting lackadaisical and systematic while working out. Your body needs to try different muscle exercises using the same group. So when at the gym, engage your body in something different!

2. Skipping a Workout – You may think it’s OK to go hard on Monday and Tuesday, and to slack off on Wednesday, and Thursday. But no maam! Skipping a workout definitely won’t get you the results that you need. Even as little as 15 minutes walking around your neighborhood or doing yoga helps your body to function without worry.

3. Forgetting to Stretch Post-Workout – After an intense workout, your body needs time to properly heal. After your muscles are tightened up, you need to stretch them out in order to get them back to normal. Stretching reduces soreness and increases the circulation you need to get back into shape.
