Do you remember Jamie Oliver? He was the British chef who came to America with own show, Jamie Oliver Food Revolution, which fat-shamed American schools on behalf of all the concerned citizens over at Disney (read more on Disney’s obesity track record here).
Well, according to the New York Daily News, Jamie Oliver was in Australia, and during an interview, the interviewer happened to ask him about his own weight — asking if he was heavier than when last Down Under.
Here’s how Jamie responded:
“I don’t know. I am very healthy. I think the last time I had a filling in my teeth, which was quite recently, I was in good nick. But really, I am not really sure. Are you from a tabloid? Thank you for noticing, you bitch.”
Classy.
Here’s his excuse:
“I went out last night and had a few drinks after a very long day, (and) my brain did not quite understand that question. I do my best . . . working in the food business is quite hard when someone is constantly asking you to try things. I eat fresh, I train twice a week. I could definitely do better, but I am trying to do my best like most people when they hit 30.”
We love that you’re all for healthiness, Jamie, but this almost made us turn on a dime about how we feel towards you. Yes, you should practice what you preach, and no, you shouldn’t get all snippy when someone calls you out on it.
Hell, you’ve made a fortune off calling OTHERS on it.
Ha! Love this. Shane you are so right my friend. Look at Giada, she looks fantastic. Bobby Flay? Runs marathons. Emmeril has trimmed down, the list goes on. Most trim chefs eat very, very light Monday-Thursday. He may want to put down that extra beer. And grab some la mer with all that cash he made- no one at 30 should have so many wrinkles. Awesome.
