Well it looks like fried chickens have come home to roost. Unfortunately, Paula Deen, who is the queen of butter and fried food, is sick even though she’s still promoting food that would make her sicker.
There are reports that Paula Deen is actually suffering from Type II Diabetes. Rumors suggest she was diagnosed years ago, but has concealed her condition from her legions of fans. Furthermore, her television shows still highlight sugary, fatty, and salty foods, including her favorite butter-rich plates.
A few months ago Travel Channel’s Anthony Bourdain exclaimed that The Food Network’s Southern-belle chef is “dangerous to America.”
The No Reservations host told TV Guide that he feels Deen and her butter-laden Southern cuisine is “the worst, most dangerous person to America.”
According to E! News, Bourdain didn’t stop there:
“She revels in unholy connections with evil corporations, and she’s proud of the fact that her food if f–king bad for you,” he said. “I would think twice before telling an already obese nation that it is OK to eat food that is killing us. Plus, her food sucks.”
It seems like Paula Deen should tell her fans. After all, many of them admire her for her skill in cooking, her engaging character, as well as the “comfort food “feel that she brings in her dishes. Still, it would be much better if she becomes honest and informs the public of her true condition. In addition, her cooking shows should refrain from featuring dishes that are not good for the health.
Damn, this sounds like the unfortuante circumstance of a sedentary lifestyle plus comfort food. But I’m no doctor, so who knows yet. But we can’t expect for her to change up her diet and show’s content. How would she pay for insulin? and doctor’s visits. Much Luck Mrs. Deen
I’m upset if she does have this disease for her family and fans. Let’s keep this in perspective, she was the happiest lady I’ve ever seen on a cooking channel and she knew it would come to an end at some point. We only live once and we should live it in the best way that makes us happy. Hopefully she gets well
