It looks like resigning to The Los Angels Clippers paid dividends for point guard Chris Paul. Who would have ever thought signing to the Clippers, the NBA’s worst franchise, would ever be a good look for a basketball players career … GO FIGURE!
Nike’s Jordan Brand released pictures of Paul’s signature shoe, CP3.VII — the seventh shoe for the 5-time All-Star:
Drawing inspiration from East LA and the 80s era that Chris Paul grew up in, his seventh signature shoe pays homage with a lead colorway that combines a mix of black, white, green and purple.
According to Sneaker News, this shoe is a big deal considering Nike made this installment available on Nike iD:
this [is] the first time ever that one of Chris Paul’s signature models will head to iD, so this sudden graduation onto the iD platform could suggest that Jordan Brand has some high hopes for this particular model.
This development goes in-line with the high hopes basketball fans have for the Los Angeles Clippers, in general. And speaking of generals, Paul must find a way to infuse his will into Clippers’ other star players, particularly Blake Griffin, who some call the next Vince Carter (is that a diss?), and DeAndre Jordan (I’m very aware Jordan is a marginal player, at-best, but his raw talent suggests he could be a star at his position, which is in major decline).
