garden woman whiteWhen perusing World Star Hip-Hop, every once in a while, amongst the sea of black rachetness, you’ll run across a sweet nugget of rachetness from white people. Case in point, an argument over picking rhubarb turned into an all-out insult-fest, with more “bitches” and “I’ll beat yo’ ass” being slung around to qualify for an episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey or any reality show on Vh1.

The issue arose between a particularly cantankerous lady who seemed to have thought it was cool to pick from a rhubarb patch that apparently had outgrown the fence of another lady’s property. An argument ensued between the two parties, along with the instigative camerawoman, and ended with the cantankerous woman walking away with a hand-full of greens.

Although the sidewalk in the alley is covered with grass, which makes it look like it’s all the gardener lady’s property, it seems like the boisterous lady may have the right to pick from what may be public property. This video demonstrates the challenges and questions that raising a garden in an urban public space presents.

What do you think? Would you still claim your garden if it spilled over to the public domain?
