She was a student studying at Clark Atlanta University when she had realized she had done no internships in the field she was studying.

But she had been learning a great deal about makeup artistry while working at cosmetic counters to pay tuition. After college, she took her life savings of $10,000 and on a leap of faith opened her flag ship store LAMIK Beauty.

Now the brand builder lives her life on a plane, traveling from city to city promoting, teaching, serving and connecting with women on how to reveal their beauty through safe, non-toxic and natural beauty products. LAMIK found additional success with entering into Macy’s department stores earlier this year, providing women of all shades — especially the deepest of hues — fabulous, affordable and skin-friendly make up.

Advice on staying motivated in building your brand: “I had to grow up to the challenge. My time is not wasted. I’m living my purpose and doing what I LOVE.”
