Get it over with

Try not to wait until the end of the day to get your workout in. If you’ve had a long and mentally exhausting day at work, chances are you’ll want to head straight to bed (or the bar) instead of to the gym.

Do your workouts in the morning for a boost of energy and stress-relief before you greet the day.

Track your progress

There’s nothing like watching you reach your goals as you’re performing them. Programs like MyFitnessPal, Run Keeper and Nike Fuel Band allow you to track your workouts, pace, mileage, distance and more.

You can even find programs that will let you log in your meals so that you stay on top of a healthy eating regimen as well.
