Be a leader in your own life and in your community

Often, we look to those who are in powerful positions to lead, make important decisions that matter, and help improve our quality of life. President Barak Obama and Candidate Mitt Romney had an entire team of writers, strategist, and advisors who tried and convinced us to believe in them as the best leader of this country, and we hope President Obama is capable of doing this with passion and conviction. However, do not overlook the chance you have right now. You can hope that they can, or you can know that you will. We have the opportunity to be leaders within faith-based organizations, or a non-profit that serves a specific community close to your heart, or as a volunteer with a mentorship program. Authentic leadership is not in the title or the position. It is an aspect of who you are as a person. It is in connecting and serving with others. Don’t let the rhetoric of leadership commonly found on the way to Election Day define you. Let authentic leadership be your guide.

This was an important decision for those who made the choice to be involved. Even though you were not involved this still effects you. Personally I trust to see the promises that President Obama set forth when he was elected 4 years ago. Many of the decisions he made I am not agreement with, but at the same time I would like to take the time and give him time to continue with his vision of creating a better USA. The most effective thing we can all do as a nation is pray for this president, our country and ourselves. That we move forward a 1
