“Red wine is good for the blood.”

It’s an old saying my father used to tell me as he would sip on his wine. As I got older I soon realized wine wasn’t only good for the blood, it was just good, period. Not too soon after that I became a wino.

But I started asking myself, how good is wine really? We all know that heavy liquor tends to pack on the pounds, and wine and champagne are known to be “better” alternatives. But just how much better? And who made this decision? And what if it’s a lie?! Crap.
