Spin Classes

Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good spin class, but like most things, no two spin classes are created equal. Some spinning classes involve a high number of squats, push-ups, hip thrusts, and other moves that are not meant to be performed while you’re pedaling a bicycle, which can put your shoulders and knees at a very high risk of injury. So how do you know which type of class you’re taking? Simple, no accredited indoor cycling certification program teaches these types of activities, so if your instructor makes you feel as though you can’t simply sit and pedal correctly for more than 15, 30, or even 60 seconds without having to flap your arms or jump up and down, you should find a new class.
