Sweet Potatoes

That’s right—you have permission to eat potatoes. Don’t believe the bad rap they get for being carb-heavy. True, you shouldn’t go overboard, but sweet potatoes have a lower glycemic index than regular white potatoes, which means they won’t spike up your blood sugar. Slice them up into fry-like strips, toss with a little olive oil and sea salt and bake in the oven for a delicious, healthy treat.
