If you’ve gotten a strong hold on your workout routine, it may be time to try something a bit more challenging. One such exercise is suspension training.

Suspension training offers maximum resistance training for your body by using ropes that work to engage your body weight.  By allowing your body to perform its natural movements, you maximize your fitness workout by toning your your core, increasing your strength, and working on your stability.

So how do you get started?

First things first: Purchase a suspension rope. Many rave over the TRX suspension rope, a rope used by athletes such as Drew Brees and Carmelo Anthony.   1. TRX is awesome! The class at the Y is about an hour long, but for all the work you do the time flies by and you work up a good sweat. Suspension training is IT!
