4. Snack Foods
I am a salty/sweet junkie. I’d ride to a Wendy’s just for a large fry with a chocolate frosty accompanying it as a dipping sauce. However, I was introduced to and fell in love with Planter’s 100 calorie Energy packs. They include an assortment of nuts and dark chocolate to give you a quick mixture of salty and sweet. Finding alternative healthy snacks is not as daunting as it may seem. I chose Garden Veggie Straws instead of potato chips. Surprisingly, I found the ingredients were almost the same except for the saturated fat content, sodium and calorie content — vegetable snacks have nearly none.
