What’s your number?

Though a phrase like that may bring a smile to my face if asked by an attractive member of the opposite sex, for the means of this blog post, I’m talking about a different number.

That’s right, the one on the scale.

Many of us have it. The glory number that we hold up on a pedestal a.k.a. the amount of weight we want to lose by a certain amount of time, so that we can fit into that certain bikini, for that certain day.

As a petite woman, I like to stay between 120 and 130. It’s a comfortable weight for me, as well as it doesn’t leave me feeling as if I look as if I’m starving myself!

I manage to keep this weight by eating a well balanced diet and working out regularly – often 3 to 5 times per week. No extreme dieting, no crazy cleanses, just good old fashioned crunches and cardio.

Everyone has a number.

What’s yours?

  1. Mine’s 180. It may be a little high to some, but I definitely embrace my thick build and chubby bum, thighs and chest. I’m currently trying to work down to that number, but I think health and fitness should be just that- being healthy is eating right and sweating often, not a number. 🙂

    But… mine’s 180. 🙂

  2. Mine is 230. I am trying to go back to 160, where I felt most comfortable. I’ve lost 20 pounds so far, and I’m still working on it! I wanna hit my number by next summer. 🙂
