They say we should never judge a book from its cover, but what about its tweets?

This was the premise for a new study put out by the Online Privacy Foundation in conjunction with Kaggle.com, which studied 3,000 tweets to determine whether or not you may be a psychopath.

Scientists raked through over 3 million tweets in over 80 countries since the beginning of 2012. They selected a group of participants to take part in a personality test. They also examined aspects of their tweets including how often they tweeted, what was retweeted, and their Klout scores.

Chris Sumner, co-founder of the Online Privacy Foundation, writes on his blog, “Our research suggests that social media profiling can provide an advantage to determining personality types; certainly more than the toss of a coin provide. Our initial research shows that social profiling can provide a bigger edge than we expected. However, these edges are certainly not definitive or concrete.”

Through the study they only found that 1percent could be qualified as “psychopaths,” meaning that on a scale from lowest to highest, they came the closest to the edge. But Sumner still believes that this it’s not conclusive of anything, it’s merely a means of educational study to determine what character traits a person MAY possess.

The full report is expected to be released July 29th.
