When it comes to marketing and promotions for a business or service there is no shortage of gimmicks out there. But a new promotion by a urologists group in Massachusetts might just take the cake. The idea behind the promotion is to offer a free pizza to vasectomy patients during March Madness. You read that right, if you come in for a vasectomy during March Madness, you will be rewarded for your sacrifice with a piping hot pizza to eat during a game.

Urology Associates of Cape Cod says it’s a lighthearted way to raise awareness about the procedure and drum up business. Practice administrator Evan Cohen sees the vasectomy deal as a case of perfect timing since men need a few days of recovery after a vasectomy.

What could be better than hanging out on the couch, watching some hoops and chowing down a free pizza? Cohen said March can be the busiest month for vasectomies for his company, with perhaps 45 to 60 being performed. He thinks it may be because it’s a less busy time of year on Cape Cod.
