If one ever needed another reason to despise everything and everyone associated with Donald Trump, his two sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, gave one the ammunition, as they killed innocent animals while on an African safari.

The Trump name — which is already associated with exploitation, racism, and misogyny — can now officially be linked with animal cruelty, as photos leaked of Don Jr. and his brother posing with dead animals from a trip last year to Africa. Don Jr. can be seen holding an elephant’s tail (not attached to its body), in addition to he and Eric standing next to a dead crocodile hanging from a tree.

And you know who is not happy, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The Twitter world has posted many comments of disgust while PETA spoke directly with E! News about the animalistic acts.

“If the young Trumps are looking for a thrill, perhaps they should consider skydiving, bungee jumping, or even following in their anti-hunting father’s footsteps and taking down competing businesses—not wild animals.”

PETA continued to say, “Like all animals, elephants, buffalo, and crocodiles deserve better than to be killed and hacked apart for two young millionaires’ grisly photo opportunity. If the Trumps want to help villagers, they have plenty of resources at their disposal.”

According to Don Jr. and Eric, who also spoke with E! News, they have great respect for nature. “We are both avid outdoorsmen and were brought up hunting and fishing with our grandfather who taught us that nothing should ever be taken for granted or wasted.

“We have the utmost respect for nature and have always hunted in accordance with local laws and regulations. In addition, all meat was donated to local villagers who were incredibly grateful. We love traveling and being in the woods—at the end of the day, we are outdoorsmen at heart.”

White folks may have been all up in arms over this situation, which I admit is disgusting, but the Trump’s sons look like what wealthy white men’s post-colonial African fantasies are made of.

I’m hoping that men don’t take it back to the days when they openly posed with black carcases although the murder of Trayvon Martin shows me that we still have a LONG way to go and we’re not that far away from our brutal history.

Either way, the Trumps sons are who they are: they are dressed in traditional garb, holding the biggest gun entitled money can buy and radiating the pretentiousness that is synonymous with the Trump name. Blah
