Always looking to get their message out in the most salacious manner, PETA asked some of the LFL ladies to strip down even further for a worthy cause: anti-fur.
“When you wear that fur jacket you don’t ever really think about, ‘What happened to this animal for me to be putting this on?’” says one player in the video. PETA campaigner Emily Lavender adds, ”Wearing fur is a personal foul. With so many stylish, warm, and durable fabrics available today, there’s no excuse for wearing anyone’s skin.”
PETA never misses a chance to use hyperbole when discussing the issue of fur. Yes, fashionable fur is a terrible, cruel, and inhumane way to cloth oneself but let’s be practical. If it wasn’t for the ingenious uses of animal skin for warmth by our paleo, meso, and neolithic ancestors — who more than likely didn’t use them for fashion — many of us would not be here to debate this topic.
But, either way, we understand what PETA is trying to get at:
“When people learn that millions of innocent animals are beaten, boiled, hanged, and electrocuted for their fur every year; that each fur coat, each piece of fur lining or fur trim, and each fur cat toy represents the intense suffering of dozens of animals; and that furriers intentionally mislabel the fur of cats and dogs as fur from other species or as faux fur — then every decent human being will want to go fur-free.”
As far as the Lingerie Footballers are concerned, they haven’t broken into the mainstream as of yet but it’s not from a lack of skill — these ladies can ball. What they lack in dignity they make up in talent.

First time I’ve ever seen a video of this, I don’t see how this subjugates them. They look like confident, hard working athletes to me. It’s just that they wear sexy clothes while doing it. Kudos to them for being able to play such a tough sport, and make it look sexy!!
