Looks like DMX is trying to put his seemingly non-stop stints in prison behind him and make up for some of his misdeeds. The troubled rapper made a promise to a fan during his first post-sentence concert that he would visit wounded veterans at nearby Fort Sam Houston, and DMX made good on his word. According to TMZ, DMX showed his support for the troops by strapping himself into a wheelchair and playing a game of basketball with the heroes. “It made my day as much as it did their day,” the rapper told TMZ. “One told me that I gave him the best early Christmas gift he ever got and that has me still smiling.”

It’s nice to see DMX letting go of his demons and giving back.
