For hundreds of people at the Mall at Stonecrest in Lithonia, Ga, nothing was going to stand between them and their Jordans. Hundreds of people began lining up in the early hours at the mall to get their hands on a pair of Nike’s re-release of the Air Jordan 11 Concords, but the mall opened at 8 a.m. and that was simply too long of a wait. Several people broke down the door to the mall and Dekalb County police officers had to be called to the scene with as many as 20 squad cars escorting most of the people back outside. At least four people were arrested in that incident.
Also, a mother left her two young kids in the car forcing police officers to break the window to get the children out. The mother, who claimed she was searching for her cousin and not a new pair of kicks, was arrested when she returned to the vehicle. The children — a 5-year-old and a 1-year-old — have been released to the woman’s family and are ok.
Now I’m a sneaker head just like most people I know, but is it that serious to have these sneakers for Christmas Day? Haven’t any of these people heard of this neat little invention called the internet? I used it this morning to buy two pairs of the very same sneakers they got arrested for….just saying.
Thats damn ridulous
