By now, you know that food trucks are one of the biggest trends in quick dining (and for good reason, as they offer consumers the opportunity to go beyond tradtional fast food and experience quality meals ‘on the go’ at afforable prices).  Once associated with hot dogs, “street meat” and other eats of questionable quality, you can now get fresh baked pizza, artisanal ice creams, sushi and much, much more in 15 minutes or less from a food truck!

If you live/work in New York City and have been waiting to give the food truck concept a try, you are in luck: for the next four Thursdays, Mastercard is giving its Big Apple customers the opportunity to have a delicious lunch on them!

To take advantage of the Food Truck Feast, all you have to do is either ‘like’ Mastercard on Facebook or send them a Tweet using the hashtag #PricelessNY. You will then be able to enjoy a free lunch from one of the participating vendors (10 trucks per day, up to 500 lunches per truck) between the hours of 11am and 3pm.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of taking a food truck “blogger crawl” with reps from Mastercard and world-renowned chef/restaurateur Marcus Samuelesson. I have to echo Marcus’ recommendation of Mexicue as a ‘must try’. They are serving up dishes with their signature “spicy, smokey union of Mexican and barbecue” today on 5th Avenue between 18th and Broadway AND you can eat free today! For my fellow veggie folks, the butternut squash tacos are amazing.

Check the Mastercard Facebook page each week to find the participating food trucks and for other Priceless perks for cardholders, click here.
