J Hud’s Weight Watchers meal plan calls for her to eat smaller portions of the Standard American Diet. This is intentionally great way to get a person to follow a diet, especially if the dieter’s days are filled with her job and exercise.
Unfortunately, more than likely, the root of the problem is never solved.
Studies overwhelmingly make strong cases against processed meats, low-fat dairy, refined and so-called whole grains, and genetically modified fruit and veggies as health foods, as they consistently cause adverse effects inside the human body. When a client asks to lose weight, the implicit goal is to attain optimal health, which lasts longer than the weight loss journey. Unnatural and processed foods do not promote health even though, when eaten in moderation, they can produce a desired body type.
Weight Watchers claim that its food is great tasting which helps its clients stay on track implies that most of their clients want a quick fix more that a long-term lifestyle change, which usually results in great looking clients who may be a mess on the inside. Initially, dieters must look within their psyches to understand why they want to lose weight. Contrary to popular belief, some people enjoy having weight on themselves, but most weight loss advertising wants you to believe that you are unhappy, unhealthy, and unkept if you choose to be overweight. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
Understanding why you want to lose weight is one of the best ways to keep you from yo-yo dieting or developing a eating disorder. Eating disorders destroys one’s ability to eschew calorically dense yet nutritionally deficient franken-foods. With low-fat yogurts, processed turkey lunch meat, and microwave popcorn amongst the other low quality options, Weight Watchers exhorts a temporary fix for people dealing issues that go well beyond obesity.
Hudson’s meal plan is full of “whole” grains, nonfat and low-fat dairy products, processed meats, and fatty oils, none of which will help her in the long run. All of these short term fixes helped Hudson achieve a great look on the outside, but with all due respect, and this is pure speculation, she may be a mess on the inside.
The root of people’s issues with food usually lie in a multitude of reasons, from mental to physical issues, but there is no doubt that fat, sugar, and salt fundamentally derail long-term health lifestyles.
Let’s keep pushing this beautiful woman towards even better health so that she stays in tip-top health as she ages.
